BARCHART SCREENER ARCHIVE

Privacy Policy

Effective October 1, 2026

Barchart Screener Archive is a private, single-user desktop application used for personal financial research. It organizes CSV screener reports delivered to the application owner's Gmail account.

Information the application accesses

The application requests read-only access to Gmail. It searches for messages sent by Barchart, reads message and attachment metadata needed to identify the reports, and downloads CSV attachments for processing. It does not send, edit, or delete email.

How information is used

Information is used solely to build and update the owner's private Barchart screener archive, perform data-quality checks, and support local analysis. Gmail information is not used for advertising, profiling, or any unrelated purpose.

Storage and sharing

Processed information and authorization credentials are stored locally in the application owner's private environment. The application does not sell, rent, disclose, or transfer Google user data to third parties. It does not operate a public user database.

Data retention and deletion

Imported screener records are retained until the application owner deletes the local archive. Authorization credentials can be deleted locally at any time. Google access can also be revoked from the owner's Google Account security settings.

Security

Access is limited to the application owner. The application uses Google's OAuth authorization process and requests only the Gmail read-only permission required for its purpose.

Changes

This policy may be updated if the application's data practices change. The effective date above identifies the latest version.

Contact

Questions about this policy may be directed to the application owner using the developer contact address displayed on the Google OAuth consent screen.
